Description:

Raybec Communications is looking to add a Web Interface Designer to join our web application development team. As a member of our team, you will create draft specifications using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator (and related tools) for internal discussion. Following spec discussions you will create HTML versions of web pages for use in our web application which will be given to programmers who will connect the templates to our software.

If you are the right candidate, you:

live in the Toronto area
have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in web design for complex business web sites and applications
translate business requirements into elegant functionality
take pride in everything you do
handle multiple projects at one time
are comfortable asking the questions you need to ask in order to get the job done right
have proven experience working in a fast-paced environment
are comfortable working both in a team and self-managed environment

Required skills:

Experience in web application design working with HTML files as templates for programmers
Ability to hand-code complex HTML (e.g. CSS, DIVs, SPAN, complicated tables) to HTML spec
Strong sense of design, layout, composition and colour
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and related tools
Javascript ability a definite positive
Flash skills a plus
Comfortable using a version control environment (SVN) from within a programming editor (Eclipse)
